An app is a piece of software which sits locally on the device, be that a phone or tablet. It runs either as a complete standalone piece of software, or with content and data updates via an internet connection.

Obviously that depends on the complexity of the app, the functionality required and which platforms you want it developing for. In the case of agencies who outsource to us, it also depends on whether you provide imagery, or want us to produce it.
